World Food Week is celebrated this year on the 22nd of June. World Food Week raises awareness of food poverty, nutrition and important discussions around sustainable food processes and the people behind our food, from growing and sourcing ingredients to how they end up on your table. This World Food Week we wanted to talk about the places and the flavours that inspired us at Gazebo Cuisine.
World Street Food
At Gazebo Cuisine, we are a team of diverse cultures from all over the world who have travelled and tasted brilliant foods from all over the world. We don’t believe that anyone can be inspired by a simple lunch time with just OK foods, we believe everyone should have easy access to world flavours and world foods. That’s why we developed our on the go range of food that features many delicious snacks from all over the world that can be enjoyed hot or cold and nourish you whilst you’re going about your day. But where do our favourite flavours come from?
We all know that India has some of the most delicious flavours and herbs that pack a punch. India is famous for incredible spices such as Cardamom, Clove, Black Pepper, Cumin and Coriander. Indian cooking is about really understanding and being able to identify herbs and spices to expertly blend them. Our foods and snacks have been greatly inspired by India’s colourful food palette, aromatic herbs and cool creamy yoghurt-based dips. Our Indian range features samosas, pakoras and a delicious tamarind dip.
Mexico has some of the best street food in the world. From delicious red meats grilled and roasted in delicious herbs and spices to all your favourite lunch wraps and tacos that provide that satisfying crunch. Mexican food usually uses lots of garlic, cumin, coriander and chili – so perfect for spice lovers! From Mexico, we’re inspired to up the ante with our spices and create sizzling street food that blows you away! Our Chicken Taquitos are new to the range but already winning people over!
China has been serving some of the most inventive and creative meals of all. China is packed with culture and people living a fast-paced life so we are inspired not just by China’s delicious foods and experimental flair but also their commitment to serving fantastic and flavourful food that’s easy to eat on the go. Chinese trademarks include expertly fried meats and a beautiful tang with soy sauce, vinegars and oyster sauce. From China, we were inspired to create the perfect spring rolls – duck for carnivores and vegetable for vegetarians and vegans, both equal matches in flavour and delectable crunch!
With our latest on the go range you can taste world flavours inspired by the best street food classics across the globe. This World Food Week, we’re thinking lots about how food brings people together and all the hardworking people growing spices, refining flavours and delivering them across the world!
